The University and College Union (UCU) represents over 130,000 academics, lecturers, trainers, instructors, researchers, managers, administrators, computer staff, librarians and postgraduates in universities, colleges, prisons, adult education and training organisations across the UK.

UCU is one of three trade unions recognised by Keele University. Keele UCU works on behalf of and to support its members. Keele UCU works to:

  • support individual members via casework,
  • campaign on local and national issues,
  • negotiate with the university on working conditions such as workload, contracts, and equality, diversity and inclusion,
  • organise ballots and industrial action when directed to do so by its members on local or national issues.

Branch activity is coordinated by volunteer Committee members and Section Reps.

If you need to contact the Committee you can do so by emailing committee@keeleucu.co.uk
